Why cloth diapers?
Honestly, we started for the money and stayed for how much better they were on my baby's skin. The washing is the part everybody dreads and it is the part I stopped thinking about after two weeks — one extra load every other day. The ones we actually use are on my links page, code and all.
What are the baby registry must-haves?
Fewer things than the lists tell you. A safe place to sleep, a car seat you can install without crying, a carrier you will actually wear, and about twice as many muslin blankets as you think. Everything we genuinely kept is linked on my links page — the rest went back.
What has surprised you most about each month?
All of it, honestly. Nobody tells you that the thing that worked last month stops working this month, and then you are back to guessing. I am slowly writing down what shifted month by month, because I did not have a mom to ask and I know a lot of you don't either. Tell me what you are in the middle of and I will cover it.
